TAURON Polska Energia S.A. generates, distributes, and supplies electricity and heat in Poland and the Czech Republic. It operates through Generation, Heat, Renewable Energy Sources, Distribution, and Supply. Generation covers conventional and co-generation, biomass, and equipment overhaul; Heat and Renewable Energy Sources deliver heat and electricity from hydro, wind, and solar. Distribution provides grids and metering services; Supply handles electricity and gas, trading, CO2 rights, street lighting, smart city and e-mobility services. Based in Katowice, Poland; formerly Energetyka Południe S.A., renamed in 2007.
