Suncor Energy Inc. is an integrated energy company with operations in Canada, the United States, and abroad. It has three segments: Oil Sands, Exploration and Production, and Refining and Marketing. Oil Sands produces bitumen and markets crude, power, and byproducts. Exploration and Production runs offshore Canada and onshore Libya and Syria, and trades crude. Refining and Marketing converts crude into products and sells them, also trading crude, natural gas, and power. Founded 1917, headquartered in Calgary. Name changed from Suncor Inc. in 1997.
