Range Resources is an independent energy company involved in the exploration, development, and acquisition of natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and oil in the United States, with a focus in the Appalachian region. It sells natural gas to utilities, marketing and midstream firms, and industrial users; NGLs to petrochemical customers, refiners, marketers/traders, and gas processors; and oil to refiners and transporters. Founded in 1976 as Lomak Petroleum, it renamed to Range Resources in 1992 and is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas.
