Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is a government-backed electric power transmission utility in India and internationally. It operates in three segments: Transmission Services, Telecom Services, and Consultancy Services. As of 31 March 2025, it owned 180,195 circuit kilometres of transmission lines and 282 substations with a transformation capacity of 551,961 MVA. It provides POWERTEL telecom over power lines, lease lines, MPLS-VPN, data centers, and related services, and offers extensive consultancy across planning, design, project management, asset management, grid code, market analysis, and smart grid initiatives. It also runs EV charging stations, solar, green hydrogen, smart metering, and data centers.
