MPLX LP owns and operates midstream energy infrastructure in the United States. It has two segments: Crude Oil and Products Logistics; and Natural Gas and NGL Services. Activities include gathering, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, fractionation, storage, and marketing of natural gas liquids; crude oil and refined products logistics; and sale of residue gas and condensate. It also runs inland marine operations, a marine repair facility, fuel distribution, refining logistics, terminals, rail, and storage caverns, plus refined product terminals for receipt, storage, blending, handling, and redelivery. MPLX GP LLC is its general partner. Founded 2012, based in Findlay, Ohio, MPLX is a Marathon Petroleum subsidiary.
