KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA breeds, produces, and distributes agricultural seeds. It operates in four segments: Sugarbeet, Corn, Cereals, and Vegetables. The Corn segment covers corn, soybeans, and sunflowers; Sugarbeet focuses on sugar beet seeds; Cereals on rye, wheat, barley, and oilseed rape (plus peas, catch crops, mustard, oats); Vegetables on spinach, beans, Swiss chard, red beet, and tomatoes. The company has a 10,000 sq m R&D center with a 6,600 sq m greenhouse and outdoor prep area, and is based in Einbeck, Germany. Founded 1856; renamed in 2019.
