Huaneng Power International, Inc., with its subsidiaries, generates and sells electricity to regional or provincial grids in China and abroad. It develops, builds, operates and manages coal- and gas-fired power plants and participates in new energy projects and related infrastructure such as ports, shipping, distribution grids and facilities. The company also provides port, transportation, maintenance and heating pipeline services. Its installed capacity is about 145,125 MW across natural gas, hydropower, wind and solar. Based in Beijing, it was incorporated in 1994.
