Gelsenwasser AG provides water, energy and related services in Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland. It operates in water and wastewater, energy networks, energy procurement and sales, and investments. It purchases, produces, sells, transports and distributes drinking water; develops municipal utilities; builds and runs wind, solar and charging infrastructure; offers digital meters, radiator controls, and neighborhood solutions; and runs sewers, plants, standpipes, repairs, and energy trading. It was founded in 1887, is based in Gelsenkirchen, and is a subsidiary of Wasser und Gas Westfalen GmbH.
