Enel Chile S.A. and its subsidiaries engage in the exploration, development, operation, generation, distribution, transmission, transformation, and sale of electricity in Chile and abroad. It operates in two segments: Generation and Distribution, and Networks. The company produces and sells energy from renewables—wind, hydro, solar, geothermal—and energy storage, and also transports and sells fuels. It also provides consulting, financial asset investments, and civil/hydraulic engineering. Formerly Enersis Chile S.A., renamed Enel Chile S.A. in October 2016. Incorporated in 2016, based in Santiago, and a subsidiary of Enel SpA.
