Coterra Energy Inc. is an independent oil and gas company focused on exploration, development, and production of crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids in the United States. Its assets include about 394,000 net acres in the Permian Basin (Delaware sub-basin) across west Texas and southeast New Mexico, about 186,000 net acres in the Marcellus Shale in Susquehanna County, PA, and about 208,000 net acres in the Anadarko Basin, OK. It operates gas gathering and disposal systems in Texas and sells gas to industrials, LDCs, marketers, and pipelines. Formerly Cabot Oil & Gas, renamed in 2021. Founded 1989, based in Houston.
