Core Natural Resources, Inc., with its subsidiaries, produces, sells, and exports metallurgical and thermal coals in the United States and internationally. It operates through four segments: High CV Thermal, Metallurgical, Powder River Basin (PRB), and Core Marine Terminal. The High CV Thermal segment includes the Pennsylvania Mining Complex and West Elk mine in Colorado; Metallurgical covers Leer, Leer South, Beckley, Mountain Laurel, and Itmann in West Virginia; PRB includes Black Thunder and Coal Creek in Wyoming; Core Marine Terminal handles coal export at the Port of Baltimore. Formerly CONSOL Energy Inc., it changed its name to Core Natural Resources, Inc. in January 2025. Founded in 1864, it is headquartered in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
