China Taiping Insurance Holdings Company Limited is an investment holding company that underwrites life, property and casualty, and reinsurance products in China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and internationally. It operates in three segments—Life Insurance, Property and Casualty Insurance, and Reinsurance—and also engages in asset management, insurance intermediation, financial leasing, property investment, securities dealing and elder care investments. Formerly China Insurance International Holdings, it was renamed in 2009. Founded in 2000 and based in North Point, Hong Kong, it is a subsidiary of China Taiping Insurance Group (HK) Co. Ltd.
