Angel Oak Mortgage REIT, Inc. is a real estate finance company focused on acquiring and investing in first lien nonqualified mortgage loans and related assets in the U.S. mortgage market. It offers investment securities, residential and commercial mortgage loans, and various debt instruments including futures, non-agency RMBS, non-recourse securitizations, HELOCs, B-Notes, and construction or mezzanine financing. It is a REIT, generally exempt from corporate income tax if it distributes at least 90% of taxable income. Formerly Angel Oak Mortgage, Inc., renamed in March 2023.
