The company invests across CRE credit, including floating-rate and first-priority mortgage loans, subordinated loans, mezzanine financing, preferred equity, CRE whole loans, and equity stakes. It is a qualified REIT, typically avoiding federal taxes if 90% of taxable income is distributed. Formerly Exantas Capital Corp, it renamed in February 2021. Founded in 2005 and based in Uniondale, New York.
