Yang Ming Sees Q2 Profit Growth as Peak Season Shifts Rates
Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation held its 414th board meeting and approved its first-half 2026 results. In Q2, tariff-policy changes and higher energy costs pulled forward peak-season demand on Asia-Europe and trans-Pacific routes, lifting consolidated revenue to US$1.45 billion and after-tax net profit to US$0.18 billion. Port congestion at Shanghai and Europe worsened in Q2 due to weather and operational bottlenecks.
