Yamaha announced it will sell 14 million shares of Yamaha Motor it currently holds, reducing its ownership ratio from 2.84% to 1.46% on a total issued-share basis. The move follows Yamaha’s policy on strategic shareholdings and is aimed at improving asset efficiency. Proceeds of about ¥27.3 billion will be directed to growth investments or expanded shareholder returns.
