Yamaha Ends In-House Side-by-Side Production, Refocuses on Growth

Yamaha Motor revises its side-by-side (SxS) line strategy, citing shifting customer needs, weaker demand in some SxS categories, and higher supply-chain and production costs. The company will stop in-house SxS production at its Newnan, Georgia plant and adjust about 300 positions, including an estimated 200 full-time roles, to improve profitability and capital efficiency, while continuing innovation in key SxS segments.
