Xiaomi Invests in Battery Swapping Startup Despite No Compatible Cars
Xiaomi’s subsidiary Hanxing Venture Capital invested 30 million yuan ($4.4 million) in Zhejiang Xinglixing New Energy Technology, backing an operator that runs battery-swap service locations. Despite the move, Xiaomi has three product lines and currently no swap-capable vehicles, even as China’s battery swapping push intensifies and infrastructure increasingly shapes EV adoption.
