Woolworths Opens $184m Heathwood Distribution Centre Creating 300 Jobs

Woolworths unveiled its new 42,000 sqm, temperature-controlled Heathwood Distribution Centre 20km southwest of Brisbane, servicing 280 Queensland and northern NSW stores with faster deliveries. The $184m site has been partly operational since November 2021 and targets 5 Star Green Star certification, featuring 4,000 solar panels, a 3 million litre rainwater tank, and space for electric cars and trucks. Construction created 200 local jobs and the centre supports about 300 ongoing roles.
