Wizz Air Warns on Revenue With €183.3m Q1 Loss, Plans Capacity Growth
Wizz Air reported a €183.3 million operating loss for April–June, saying it struggled to pass rising fuel costs linked to the Iran war onto customers, who expect low fares. Shares fell 4.3%. CEO Jozsef Varadi said capacity will grow as planned while shifting capacity toward Europe routes and away from medium-haul Middle East trips, with fuel hedges covering 76% of needs.
