Wizz Air announces Starlink WiFi deal as other budget rivals hold back

Wizz Air says its ultra-low-cost approach will carry into a 2027 “space era,” alongside the Starlink rollout by Lufthansa Group’s Eurowings, starting later this year. Wizz Air did not disclose deal terms, including whether satellite WiFi will be free or a paid add-on. Rivals have differed: airBaltic and others have launched or planned rollouts, while Ryanair has held back due to install costs and operational concerns.
