Wisconsin DNR Urges Enbridge to Stop Line 5 Reroute After Gas Leak

Wisconsin’s Department of Natural Resources asked Enbridge to halt work on the Line 5 reroute after a gas leak began Tuesday. Enbridge said about 150 people, including emergency responders, are stabilizing the site and restoring pipeline service between Aug. 31 and Sept. 5. The DNR also wants air modeling and monitoring details and raised concerns after an Aug. 27 letter. Air monitoring found no hazardous levels within one mile.
