Weverse Data Breach Exposes 422,584 Account IDs on HYBE Fan Platform
More than 400,000 pieces of personal information were leaked from Weverse, HYBE’s fan platform. After receiving an external report about a security vulnerability, the company inspected and confirmed exposure affecting 422,584 account IDs. The data included internal user identifiers and purchase details such as payment method, amounts, dates, and refund timing for canceled purchases, while the company said the identifiers can’t be used externally. HYBE reported the breach to KISA on Sept. 4.
