Waymo expands robotaxi service to more U.S. markets as Zoox tests
Waymo rolls out its roomier Ojai robotaxi fleet, assembled in Arizona, with automatic sliding doors, multiple in-car screens, and a Gemini-integrated entertainment system. The service expands to more U.S. cities, including rides via the Waymo app and, in some markets, through Uber. Zoox’s paid rides remain in Las Vegas as it tests elsewhere. Labor and safety advocates call for job protections and clearer mileage/crash data disclosure.
