Wärtsilä to Supply Engines for 14 MW Captive Power Plant in Senegal

Wärtsilä will supply five Wärtsilä 32 engines and related systems for a 14 MW captive power plant at Senegal’s Diamba Sud Gold Project. The off-grid facility will power mining operations, using fast-start engines to help balance intermittent wind and solar generation. Africa Power Services ordered on behalf of Fortuna Mining, with advisory support for installation and commissioning.
