Walmart will build a new 1.5-million-square-foot fulfillment center in Carnesville, Georgia, investing $1.3 billion in Franklin County. The project will employ 1,000 workers and is expected to more than double the city’s daytime population. The facility will be located in an industrial park off I-85 and expand the retailer’s logistics capacity.
