Walmart to Add Apple Pay Support and Tap to Pay Starting Aug. 24
Walmart will accept payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay in its stores, including Walmart and Sam’s Club. Starting August 24, it will add Tap to Pay at select locations, aiming to cover all stores and clubs by year-end, and roll out to fuel stations by mid-2027. The change follows earlier attempts to curb Apple Pay with CurrentC.
