Walmart is rolling out Scenario, a women’s fashion brand with hundreds of items such as blouses, denim shirts, bags and accessories, many priced around $25. The brand targets style-minded women in their 30s and aims to lift growth beyond food and essentials as US comparable sales excluding fuel rose 2.6% in the quarter. The company is also trying to compete more directly with Amazon.
