Walmart Invests $1.3B in Next-Gen Fulfillment Center in Georgia
Walmart plans a $1.3 billion “next-gen” fulfillment center in Georgia, aimed at doubling storage capacity and daily order throughput with high-density automation. The Carnesville site is expected to employ about 1,000 workers, and nearly 2 million container storage would support far more SKUs than traditional facilities. The move builds on expanding automated processing and retrofits across regional distribution centers through 2030.
