Volkswagen has launched an investigation into a Changzhou, Jiangsu supplier after more than a hundred newly hired graduate workers were dismissed, triggering nationwide outrage. The supplier, Changzhou Xingyu Automotive Lighting System, said headcount adjustments were needed and offered exit agreements to some of the 440 fresh graduate hires, with Volkswagen expected to review the conduct and its oversight of suppliers.
