Volkswagen open to ceding majority control of India operations
Volkswagen Group says it is open to giving up majority control of its India operations to a local partner as it moves toward a broader alliance. Skoda Auto CEO Klaus Zellmer said an MoU could be signed within weeks, without naming the partner or ownership structure. The plan, linked to Skoda Auto Volkswagen India, is aimed at scaling in India. Skoda also returned to diesel in India with new and updated models.
