Volkswagen Group has opened a supply chain compliance investigation into lighting supplier Xingyu Automotive Lighting Systems after reports that the firm pushed out 2026 campus recruits in bulk. Leaked recordings describe HR offering half a month’s pay for voluntary resignation or else reassigning non-resigners to assembly-line work. A Changzhou bureau notice says 107 of 440 hires had contracts terminated, with 22 already employed and 14 interviewing elsewhere.
