Vodafone Idea capex plan boosted by ₹6,400 crore bank funding

Vodafone Idea will quicken capex deployment after securing a ₹6,400 crore first tranche from banks for the quarter ended June 2026. CEO Abhijit Kishore said it is discussing additional funding with PSBs including State Bank of India, plus private and foreign lenders via ECBs. The company has placed ₹9,000 crore of capex orders, targeting execution over the next two quarters with about 3,500 4G sites monthly, while bank debt drops to ₹211 crore and cash rises to ₹6,558 crore.
