Virco Revenue Falls 6.1% Through Six Months to $118.2M Amid School Furniture Rebalancing
Virco reported second-quarter operating income of $10.5 million, above its long-term average, but net sales fell to $87.5 million from $92.1 million a year earlier. Operating income declined to $10.5 million from $15.4 million. For six months, net income dropped 46.5% to $5.8 million. Management cited slight demand improvement after school budget approvals, but warned results likely remain constrained at this low point in the cycle.
