Vermont Well Owners File Federal PFAS Class Action Against 3M and Others
Residents in Bennington and Shaftsbury, Vermont, filed a proposed federal class action alleging that PFOA, a PFAS “forever chemical,” contaminated private drinking wells for years, harming health and property values. The suit links the contamination to releases tied to former ChemFab plants and seeks a court-supervised medical monitoring program for people with elevated blood levels after at least six months of exposed well water.
