Verizon Readies Hawaii Network and Generators for Another Storm
Verizon is preparing its Hawaii network and emergency response resources as another tropical storm approaches after Hurricane Lala damaged services. The company topped off permanent generators with multi-day fuel, deployed portable generators where power is out, and staged mobile and satellite equipment. It is coordinating with local utilities and public safety agencies, and extending relief after Lala, including unlimited talk, text, and data through Aug. 31 for value-brand customers.
