Venture Global CP2 LNG cost estimate rises by $4 billion to $33.5 billion

Venture Global said construction costs for two phases of its CP2 LNG project have increased by $4 billion, or just under 14%, to an estimated $32.5 billion–$33.5 billion from $28 billion–$29.5 billion. Phase one of the 35 mtpa Louisiana facility is under construction. The company cited design changes, inflation, and possible tariff impacts, and reported 3.0 mtpa of CP2 capacity not yet sold under long-term contracts as of December 31, 2025.
