U.S. Plans to Pressure Netherlands to Ban ASML Exports to China
The U.S. government is preparing to force the Netherlands to ban ASML from selling almost any chip-making machines to China, extending Dutch limits beyond already restricted EUV and advanced DUV systems. The bill would bar ASML from selling older DUV tools and from maintaining machines already delivered. ASML relies on American suppliers, and past U.S. threats have led to further Dutch restrictions.
