U.S. Army acquisition chief visits Hanwha Aerospace in Changwon

U.S. Army assistant secretary Brent Ingraham visited Hanwha Aerospace’s Changwon defense production sites to review manufacturing for artillery and rocket systems. The delegation toured the K9 production line making K9MH components, including robotic welding, and watched K9MH/K9A1 mobility and Chunmoo launcher demonstrations. The visit followed Hanwha’s Aug. 18 deal with the U.S. Army to supply six Mobile Tactical Cannon prototype systems, with an option for 12 more.
