Universal Music Group and Warner Chappell Music have partnered to launch Ecuadorian company Sonido Distrito Sur, backed by Juan Fernando Velasco. It was formally unveiled during SAYCE’s Music Week in Quito, and is set to invest across production, distribution, marketing, A&R, and international collaborations, aiming to boost Ecuadorian artists in the Andean region and markets including Peru, Colombia and Central America.
