United Spirits withdrew its Bombay High Court challenge against FSSAI restrictions on select liquor products after the regulator revoked its order. The dispute involved the use of added “rum flavour” in rum-marketed products, which FSSAI said could misrepresent standardised spirits under the 2018 alcohol regulations. The issue continues for other manufacturers.
