Trade union Unite plans to dispute job cuts at Diageo’s Cameronbridge distillery in Leven, Scotland, with more than 70 roles at risk and allegations that Diageo failed to properly consult employees. Diageo says it is in consultation over a small role reduction and will support colleagues. A strike ballot runs 26 August to 9 September, with Unite warning the changes could endanger safety and wellbeing.
