Unifor says Stellantis is considering sale of Brampton plant
Unifor said it received a notification from Stellantis that the company is considering the closure and sale of its Brampton, Ontario assembly plant, which previously employed about 2,200 workers before retooling. The union’s contract expires in September, and it will negotiate a new agreement while linking the move to U.S. auto tariffs. Stellantis said it is preparing to enter collective bargaining.
