Uber says it will roll out a safety feature that uses the driver’s selfie camera to offer an optional livestream of a teen’s ride to authorized guardians in the Uber app. It is being tested in nine U.S. markets and will roll out nationwide over coming weeks, also available in more than 50 countries. Adult viewers linked to the teen account can watch only during the trip, and video is paused automatically if needed.
