Uber Eats to Pay $4.4 Million Settlement for Seattle Minimum Pay Claims
Uber Eats will return nearly $4.4 million to more than 14,000 workers in Seattle after settling claims it violated the city’s App-Based Worker Minimum Payment Ordinance. Seattle’s Office of Labor Standards alleged the company failed to provide required minimum payments for certain canceled orders and for time worked. The settlement follows an earlier $1.4 million payment to 4,000 workers.
