Uber Eats drone delivery via Zipline to launch in Dallas and Houston

Uber Eats will add an option for eligible customers to receive orders via Zipline’s autonomous drone delivery, starting in markets where Zipline already operates, including Dallas and Houston, before expanding later this year. After an order is placed, it’s prepared and loaded into Zipline’s system for roughly 10-mile deliveries in about 10 minutes, with the drone hovering and tethered drop-off.
