Uber and DiDi disputed over Mexico labor reform compliance
Mexico platform workers allege Uber and DiDi are failing to comply with December 2024 labor reforms under the Federal Labor Law. A January–June 2026 worker compilation says Uber underreported earnings to IMSS by 19% to 25%, cutting company tax burden and denying benefits. Only 237,627 workers reportedly have full coverage versus 1.66 million designated as beneficiaries, with claims of missing social security, paid leave and PTU avoided via separate entities.
