Uber is rolling out family profiles for teen accounts, letting parents and guardians request trips, pay for rides, and monitor journeys using Uber safety tools including Audio Recording. A new live-streaming option lets linked parents view rides via the driver’s selfie camera while both driver and teen are notified; access ends when the ride finishes. Uber is also expanding Group Rides in select cities and offering a phone-based option for riders without smartphones in parts of the U.S. and Canada.
