Tyson Foods to Close Two Beef Facilities and Seek Sale of Third

Tyson Foods said it will close its Joslin, Illinois beef plant and its Eagle Mountain, Utah case-ready facility, and is pursuing the sale of its Pasco, Washington beef plant. The shift will center Tyson’s beef operations on facilities in Nebraska, Kansas and Texas to cope with tight cattle supplies, with support for affected employees during the transition.
