Tui Profits Drop 43% as Middle East Conflict and Storms Hit
Tui reported a 43% fall in third-quarter pre-tax profits to €153.4 million, with underlying earnings down 27% and customer numbers down 3% to 9.9 million. A total €81 million hit in the first nine months came from the Iran war and Jamaican hurricanes, including a €20 million cruise impact from Middle East conflict as travellers delay bookings until nearer departure.
